Sammy's Woodfired Pizza & Grill

We opened the place up for lunch while walking around in the area. Found the food to be really good with lots of options. Place was super clean, friendly staff and the prices were about right for this area.

We shared Duck Tacos, Pork Dumplings, and then a New York pizza. All were great.

This is our favorite restaurant in La Jolla. Excellent food with a great selection and reasonable prices. Good happy hour 4-6, great service, good ambience, and not too fancy. Always had good experiences here.

This is a go-to spot for us - never incredible, but always solidly really good, we go here often and often bring out-of-town guests, especially if someone just flew and and wants comfort food. Great veggie and vegan options. Super comfy chairs, especially the booths. If you come during happy hour you can get some great nibbles and draft beer super cheap. Note that they do NOT have a liquor license- just beer and wine. They do cocktails with some strange low-alcohol substitute drink, but even our waitress advised us to steer clear.
