It was about 85 degrees (inside) when we arrived, maybe the air conditioner was broken? But we had a half price voucher and were hungry so decided to stay. We ordered guacamole priced just umder $6 to start. It came with a few burnt and cold chips and was about 1/2 ann avocado. It was quite bland and very overpriced. My date ordered the chile Relleno plate. It was cooked nicely. I ordered the tostada plate with beef. The meat WAS ICE COLD. The owner/waiter and (his wife?) The cook were trying to keep their toddler amused while the wife/cook ate soup at a table next to us. I have been eating tostadas for about 40 years as a SD native, and never had a cold meat tostada. The meat was so toughh and stringy i barely touched it. Bottom line...check for our two entrees and guac was $32?? Even at half price it was not worth 15. I posted pics of our entrees here.
Hands down the best Mexican food in San Diego. It is ENTIRELY homemade with recipes passed down for 3 generations. The waiter is the owner and he is very attentive. Even with a packed restaurant, they do a great job making sure you are happy and asking if they can do anything to better serve you. Very nice family, very nice restaurant, AMAZING FOOD!!! Good prices too!
