Far and away the best seafood restaurant in San Diego. Choose your fish from the amazing selections and your marinade, now decide if you want that in a taco, on a sandwich, a salad or a plate. The new location has the heated outdoor seating area to catch a sunset, best fresh seafood market with stocked display cases brimming with so much variety!
Blue water seafood has some of the tastiest most fresh seafood cuisine here in San Diego. The new location in Ocean Beach is great with no lines (unlike there original location in Mission Hills) and right on the beach. Highly recommend the Hawaiian Wahoo sandwich!
First time eating at this establishment and it was excellent! We ordered 2 fish tacos(1 trout and 1 sea bass) and a Buffalo sandwich with calamari and they were fantastic! Huge in size and honestly one taco would do the trick. Also a up of New England clam chowder and onion rings to start. They do have fresh seafood for sale as well as many local beers on tap. It's right across from the life guard station in O.B. I would recommend this place if you are looking for fresh seafood cooked to order. It was 45 dollars for 2 to eat with drinks so it is a little pricey but well worth the money for the portions you get.
For the freshest fish sandwich in town, Blue Water is the place to go. Been to the India Street location and this other location doesn't disappoint. Overlooking the ocean beach pier, what a better location to dine. The lines are typically long during lunch hours but it's worth it! The menu has a of different fish to choose from. You can have a plate, sandwich or tacos made from your fish choice. I had the red snapper sandwich and it was amazing! Definately a place worth going to leave the office or to have a nice fish sandwich date! Blue Water is my favorite fish sandwich spot!!
Everything I have tried was cooked perfectly. My kids loved the sashimi, oysters, fries, fried fish taco and chowder. My wife and I enjoyed the fish tacos, lobster bisque, calamari and salad plates. Make sure to try the tomatillo sauce. I am still working my way through every item as I find something new to enjoy each time. I can't wait for them to officially open.
