We had a great experience with Anjappar we ordered food for camping for around 50 people , checked with Raj and he gave us really great recommendations with food options so the whole crowd can enjoy as we had lots of kids, per his recommendation we ordered Malai kofta (one of the best kofta I ever had ) Chettinad egg masala (authentic taste) veg kothu parota (amazing ) and veg kurma . All owners are really friendly and customer service is top notch Dinesh did the delivery and the food was warm and ready to served delivered early and make sure the order was correct .
A must recommended place for catering and dine in too
We had an amazing Sunday lunch here at Anjappar San Diego. We tried chicken 65, tandoori chicken, mutton dum biriyani and chicken fried rice. Everything was fresh, well cooked and tasted amazing. Must try!!
Anjappar Restaurant in San Diego is a real treat. It’s like a little piece of India right in the city. When I visited, I felt like I had found a special spot.
As soon as I stepped in, the staff made me feel welcome. They were friendly and helpful. They took the time to explain the menu and made sure I had everything I needed.
The food was amazing. I started with the Lollipop Chicken. It was tasty and perfectly cooked. Then, I had the Mutton Biriyani and Chettinadu Mutton Masala. Both were flavorful and the mutton was soft and juicy.
To finish off, I had the Jigarthanda. It was a sweet and refreshing dessert, a perfect way to end a great meal.
Anjappar is a great place to visit, whether you’re from San Diego or just in town for a bit. The food is delicious, and the friendly staff makes the experience even better. You won’t be disappointed!
Good food and excellent service.
Chicken lollipop was the batter fried south indian style and not the indo-Chinese version that you would find normally in indian restaurants. It is definitely worth a try!
Biriyani was less saltier for my liking but had the authentic flavor of chettinad spices.
Porotta was crispy and freshly made to order. Egg kothu porotta was also tasty.
Excellent pomfret! Felt like I was eating home made awesome pomfret. Mutton liver fry was also very good. Finally San Diego has awesome Indian seafood. Ramesh was awesome. Service was great. I like that it was not too spicy. Flavorful. Rasam was also tasty - peppery and tangy. Parothas were also very good.
