First time here. Did not disappoint! Claim to fame is the only Burmese restaurant in SD! Craving the tea leaf salad and it did not disappoint! Love the presentation and interactiveness of the entree! Added yummy rainbow salad, sweet & spicy wings and super yummy rainbow salad! Topped off with friendly and professional service and clean, modern designed restaurant and dining indoor (main) and limited outdoor areas. Plenty of parking in the outdoor plaza. Definitely coming back! Highly recommend!
First time at this restaurant and ordered for take out...food was very tasty and staff was professional (hostess was also quite friendly and patient while I figured out my order). The restaurant was packed at 6:30-ish pm on a Saturday evening but folks seemed to move off their tables fairly quickly while I was sitting there. The okra/egg curry was distinctive and the tomatoes were a nice touch. The samosas were perfectly cooked and the sauce for them was amazing! Definitely intend to go back and try more dishes.
Finally, a Burmese restaurant in the San Diego area that rivals the famed Burma Super Star restaurant in San Francisco. Their tea and rainbow salads are as good as they get. Great food, service and atmosphere. Would recommend making res as there wasn’t an empty table this Sunday during dinner hours.
If you haven’t tried Burmese cuisine before, you won’t be disappointed.
We had a take out from this place as I had read great reviews. The food was good however they screwed up our order and gave us a wrong item. Also the chicken we had ordered was on a sweeter side. I know they are a new restaurant that just opened a few weeks ago so hopefully will get better. I tried calling the place that my order was wrong but the phone was busy.
Wow! This place is so so good! We ordered the sesame chicken (best I’ve ever had), the sweet spicy wings, Shan tofu (wow! And I don’t ever eat tofu), garlic noodles with pork (one of the best things I’ve ever eaten!) pineapple fried rice (this I didn’t love, and wouldn’t order again but I could have a skewed opinion because everything else was so so amazing). Coconut rice was on point and was delicious! Daniel was our server and everything he recommended ended up being the best things ever! If you go here ask for Daniel!
