Checkered Churros at Mission + Garnet

This is okay. I don't think I would be back but glad I tried it. I ordered the Horchata Crema and my friend got the Campfire S'mores. We both thought that they were pretty sweet. I was expecting a light fluffy center and the outside a little crispy but that was not the case. The waffle is very dense and heavy. This is not what I was expecting at all from a churro/waffle for it to be so dense. Great concept but I can't get over how dense it was, a lighter batter to make it fluffy I think would make it much better.

If you like churros check this place out. The churros are really good, but also super sweet! The only reason I give this place 4 stars is because we waited about 20 minutes to get two churros.

Yummy churro waffles that were a great after dinner dessert! They weren’t quite as crunchy as a normal churro, but it was still delicious and hit the spot with a doughy center. Had the vanilla fruity pebble flavor and had no complaints! Would definitely go back to try some of the other flavors. Staff were kind and helpful and working as fast as they could to get them made with the line of people coming up.
