Amazing food and amazing service. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very knowledgeable staff member that told us about the menu and their extensive list of daily specials. We split the lumpias (of course) in veggie and pork and I had the fire chicken noodles (the chefs original recipe) while my husband ate one of the specialty pork plate. All the plates came with a side of Mac salad and veggies. Last, we split an ube cheesecake with coconut whipped cream.
Everything was rich and flavor, freshly made, and authentic. Would absolutely recommend.
I’m obsessed with the calamnsi chicken wings! It’s a flavor like no other. You can never go wrong with a good flavored chicken wing. We brought my 3 year old neice to eat with us (very picky eater) and she finished her mac n cheese lumpias. We will definitely return to try all of the menu items. Chef owner Spence is very creative and innovative and has an awesome taste palette. We grew up eating Filipino food and what he does with traditional dishes is beyond what we could ever imagine. Can’t wait to try out his newest creations.
The atmosphere definitely invites you to stay long after you’ve finished your meal.
Parking is very limited so if you want to dine in, plan accordingly. Also, depending on what time you come there may be an extended wait time for food. With some patience, this is the perfect experience!
Heard about this place from co-workers and had to check it out myself. It was DELICIOUS! The adobo chicken tacos were by far my favorite but we also loved the Lola’s lumpias and spam lumpia. Great outdoor seating to enjoy the San Diego summer day. 100% will go back to try everything off their menu.
We've been here several times and we live the food and atmosphere. If you want Filipino food with great taste, this is the spot.
The atmosphere is warm and cozy, they just finished the outside deck with fire pits and fire tables and comfy seating (always a plus for me because it's super family friendly). They even have an arcade machine and let us use the lift for me and the baby to get inside the restaurant easily.
Overall, a great shop from a family who takes pride in what they do. Happy to support! ❤️
We saw the owner Spencer at Fox 5 news. So, we went on opening day after 5 pm. The place was cozy. The owner was friendly and nice. We ordered for take out only. We ordered mac & cheese lumpia, chicken adobo tacos, turon and mini malasadas and they were all on point. Flavorful. We want to try some of their food from the menu next time.
