The Vegan Special was extremely good! All of the veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly. Also, their injera is the best I’ve ever had!

Wow, just wow! This place hands down the best food I’ve ever had! Staff is extremely nice and explained the menu and dishes. Highly recommend to anyone in San Diego, a must eat at!

The food was great! Flavorful, large portions, great variety in the vegan special. The service was stellar as well. Our server was attentive without breathing down our backs, presented the platter, then plated it for us going over what was what. The ambiance was great, cool air conditioned dinning area, clean and calming environment. Not a single thing bad about this experience and dinner here.

They say 3rd times a charm! Well after going to Flavors of East Africa and seeing a white woman & RED Sea who were having a private party we ended up here at Lucy's. The atmosphere feels like Ethiopia the gentleman working was very polite. The restaurant itself didn't have alot of people there but the music and atmosphere was welcoming. The food was good.but I've had better Ethiopian food in Los Angeles. We ordered two veggie plates which was good. If your in San Diego make sure you check this place out.

Hands down the best Ethiopian food I’ve had in the U.S. Generous portions. Wonderful spices especially with items that can often be a bit bland. The owners were very friendly. This will be one of our must visit places every time we’re in San Diego.
