Just ordered for delivery!!! We will be ordering again soon. Food is insanely delicious. Crab cakes, shrimp tacos are extremely dank.
???? Yass son. The catfish was good, it tasted like my family's. Between myself and my boyfriend we tried a lot of things on the menu and all of it was delicious. Definitely would order again. Can't wait for the Covid-19 conditions to be over with so I can sit down and enjoy it piping hot and fresh in the restaurant! If it's bomb after being delivered more than 20 minutes later to my house I'm sure it's bomb fresh.
I love this place. The food is hot, fresh and authentically delicious. They have creative menu options and I had a hard time deciding! I had a soul bowl, catfish with sides, catfish po’ boy, soul rolls, yams. Everything was prepared well, hot, and tasted excellent. It was definitely seasoned well, which is important to us southerners (lol) and flavorful. Also, they have fun soda flavor choices by Coke and Crush. I’ve been missing soul food spots from home since being stationed here and honestly, it’s one of the best places I’ve eaten in San Diego and my new favorite place to eat. Try Shot Call Street Soulfood, you won’t be disappointed!
I was craving Mac and cheese but didn't want to make any since I am trying to eat better. I Googled Mac & Cheese San Diego and this placed popped and was only two miles away. I had no clue that this place was in my area. I ordered the catfish plate with Max and greens and a side of yams. It was delicious!!!!!! Taste like well seasoned food made with love. I will definitely be back.
It’s so good to finally have another black owned business- soul food at that in Southeast San Diego. It was a great pleasure to be one of the first to dine in the restaurant. I went 3 times the week it opened. The price is decent and the food is DELICIOUS. It’s in the parking lot of the beauty supply right next to little cesars. Menu is innovative with creative spins on traditional soul food. Great quick bits and no utensils food. The flavor was so powerful. Some favorites are red snapper, fried chicken wings, hush puppies. Please go show some love.
