So glad I found Funky Lemon during my stay in San Diego. Such a cute and warm cafe. Went there two days in a row during my short stay in Mission Beach. The coffee is excellent. The breakfast toasts beautifully composed and delicious. There are amazing looking pastries too. The staff is bar none. They went above and beyond to helped me avoid a parking ticket.
Had a great experience at The Funky Lemon. Everything was made fresh to order not sitting pre juiced. It took a bit longer but was worth it for the quality.
Purchased some smoothies and some healthy snacks before a hike. It was a great choice!
A highlight for me was watching the owner Marielle gracefully prepare each combination of fresh fruit and veggies. I hope to be back!
LOVE. They make their own açaí base for the bowls that are delicious with no added sugar just agave. The food is so tasty and the coffee is perfect! So many superfoods in the smoothies too. Amazing healthy spot - highly recommend! Mariela is so knowledgeable about the health benefits of the ingredients she adds to the perfectly curated healthy menu!!
This spot hits home. It's like you get transported to the Bahamas with a latin feel. Everyone is really nice and welcoming, great for families and kids or just to chill and work. I came in curious about this new place and met the owner and staff. I tried their lavender butterfly-pea lemonade and was blown away with the balance and refreshing taste! The croissants are also the best I have had, they are buttery and delicious. They make my mouth water just thinking about them. I highly recommend this place and so happy they are in mission beach. It's great having a healthy option in the neighborhood!
A new neighborhood spot with pastries, sandwiches, coffee drinks and handmade lemonade.
The vanilla latte and strawberry lemonade were better than expected; the cheese melt and avocado toast were good. The turkey Cobb wasn’t ready for the menu yet but is coming soon and looks promising.
It’s small but has a nice vibe to step inside and get a quick break from the busy Mission Blvd.
