Great Indian restaurant in a strip mall. Quiet, good service with great naan my coworkers and I would stop here often.
Food coma worthy Indian food! All the different choices of naan was awesome and the pineapple shrimp curry and chicken samosas were delicious! We were so sad when it was gone. Balder, our server, was extremely attentive and very personable! He really made our overall experience that much better! Our drinks were always filled and we couldn't have asked for a better dinner out! We will for sure be back again when we are in the area!
Very clean and convenient spot. They serve large portions and for economical rates. We liked the menu very much and the staff were super welcoming and explanatory. I recommend this place.
Decent price and foos is good too. Lunch buffets are the best. There will be good number of options and delicious too.
They have dinner buffets also on Friday and Saturday. If you go for dinner buffet, check items before you start eating. Last time when we were there, rolls were spoiled. Even other dishes were on the verge of spoiling. We felt most of the items are left overs from noon.
Staff is limited, there will be always one person. So kf there are many guests, service will be delayed.
4.5 stars. This is good, solid, well made Indian food. No gimmicks, no fancy plating, decent portion sizes, all their laurels are on the fantastic flavor. Just really great food!! We weren't sure about the freshness of the buffet, so decided on a la carte. We ordered the chicken biryani, saag chicken, garlic naan and a masala chai.
Biryani is fantastic. Would've preferred more chicken pieces, but the ones we had were beautifully cooked, the rice was light, fluffy and the spices were great. We asked for spicy and we got spicy! The raita was a sweet contrast :)
Saag chicken was not the best looking dish, but the flavors hit hard. And the spicy flavor we asked for was delivered a 100%. Really well made.
The garlic naan is definitely smaller than some of the other Indian restaurants, but it SMELLS and tastes of garlic. And any other garlic naan lover understands what I'm talking about here. It is also soft and fluffy, which is awesome.
The chai was decent. I needed 3-4 sugar sachets cz I like sugar in my tea. Good way to end a hearty meal.
We will be back here for the buffet because I bet it will as good as this meal!! This is now my second fav Indian restaurant in San Diego, Masala street being the first.
