Yalla Habibi

I came to this place when it was Petra grill and had a different owner. His name was Sam and he was smoking hookah every Friday night (shabat)[I’m not Jewish, but I’m grown up in the Jewish city in Ukraine – Odessa, so know some things]

Now it’s sold to another owner Rabieh, that I also personally know. I’ve also met his mom Fadi. She is very nice and has a very strong and impressive “getting things done” mindset, which I like. This place should be very successful with such management team. I’m wishing them all the best!

I also donated two my papasan chairs to this place as I’m moving out of state and will update you later with my food experience, but I have a very good expectations. Stay tuned.

P.S. In addition to all that I’ve met a girl that I fell in love with, but unfortunately this love story has no good ending. At least for now. I don’t want to share much details because it’s personal, but I’d like to say that it’s very hard to build your happiness when everybody is against you. Pretty much typical California. Nothing new :)

Excellent Halal dining option, well cooked and flavored arabic food. A must try!
