Outback Steakhouse

The new outback steak house in San Marcos is really good and worth my business. The food is tasty and the drinks are also good. We sat at the both the bar and the restaurant and both times it was great. The staff is great and knows there steaks. I will be going back.

Service was great, very friendly wait staff. Food and drinks came out relatively quickly. They don't do reservations but you can go online or call to get your name on the list ahead of time. It really paid off this weekend as the place gets really busy. This is one of the only chain restaurants that actually cooks your steak the way you order it.

The food is pretty good. Out of the 3 times of gone here I have had a okay cut of steak. The service is good and I think it works great with groups. At the time of this review the restaurant is new and is usually really busy so 100% call ahead.

This is a new location and was packed and waiting time is long but you can reserve or call ahead. Have a nice patio area, though small with a fire pit. A very upscale looking outback compared to the older ones. Service was good and food good. The steaks are not up to the standards of a Texas Roadhouse steak and we've been to different locations of both of those restaurants. Texas Roadhouse comes out ahead in their food that is comparable in types.

Parking here is very tough. There's just not enough because it shares a lot with a hotel. It took a long time waiting for a spot to open up. Go at off times if you don't want to drive repeatedly around the lot for a spot.

Just tried the newest Outback in San Marcos tonight. Loved it. Service was amazing from Madison. She was happy, knowledgeable and on top of things. Personality and concern are very important to me. My steak was cooked perfectly. The add on coconut crunchy shrimp was a delight.
You've got to try the fried rice and also Brussels sprouts. All cooked perfectly.
Only thing missing was a higher end wine list. Would love better choice for chardonnay.
The manager Stacy was very attentive and spoke to all the tables.
All in all, great experience from beginning to end. We will go back when it's warm and sit on the patio.
