Tried this restaurant for the first time today. It’s across from the SF Ferry building, giving nice views of the water, and Embarcadero. Food was great. There were dim sum carts going around at lunch, and the regular menu was also available. We got items from both. We had the pork & shrimp dumplings, mustard greens and crispy pork belly from the cart. They were all delicious. Prices ranged from $9-$16 for those items. We also tried the shrimp & cilantro dumplings, half Peking duck, and (not pictured) the Hong Kong style crispy noodles. They were also pretty good. Prices ranged from $10-$28. Docked a star for the confusing check in process (tip: this place is very busy. Use the yelp waitlist to lessen your wait for a table or make reservations), and the difficultly separating bones from the duck meat to put inside the buns. There were only spoons given. No knife. In some places they slice the meat from the bones when they get table side to make it easier to enjoy the dish. Service was fairly quick, even when they were very busy. Overall a good experience.
Ate there one Saturday afternoon after 1:15 p.m. Fast seating for 3. Push carts came around frequently. Dim sum was the best in the Bay Area.
Good location with a view of the Bay bridge. Got a variety of authentic Chinese food options when we were celebrating the Lunar New Year. Everything was delicious, but the salt and pepper king crab was my favorite! Great for family-style parties.
Great atmosphere, service, and food. Highly recommended especially is your hosting someone from our of town because of its location near embarcadero and the ferry building and views that you get off the bay bridge.
There is really something for any occasion. We have been here for fancy dinner with king crab and abalone to more simple family gatherings. They also have great dim sum selections.
They have private and semi private rooms available for large parties or events. They also have a great bar area and an outdoor patio
Ingredients tastes fresh and there are minimal fusion dim sum dishes. It is fine dining with terrific service. Your teapot is constantly being filled and dirty dishes don't stay on the table long. What's not on the carts, you can do a special order. On the average, with dim sum cart ordering only, expect to pay between $30-$35 per person not including tips.
