This place is cool, the staff was very up-beat and friendly. The food was great. Only down side is the bathroom isn't wheel chair accessible. Still worth a stop if you are in the Castro district.
service is excellent even when they are busy. bring your appetite because portions are generous. i can see why they have so many great reviews.
genuine scratch diner, booths, food bar, open forever. a great root beer float can be found here as well as colorful characters occasionally, I've had a few mornings here, reminds me of my hometown in a way... that's some memory lane level up stuff. you can't recreate that. everyone has their own experiences to relate here, the good food and original Americana are abundant and the service is timely, not over the top or weird. If you go to any diners in San Francisco I recommend that you go to this very one, there is no other diner like this.
Cool little place with lots of character. Surprisingly big menu with options that ought to make just about anyone happy. Everyone working there was friendly and polite, despite being extremely busy due to SketchFest. There were a couple minor mistakes with our orders; but were all fixed promptly and courteously. If/when we're in the area again, we'll certainly eat here again!
This place is a great greasy spoon diner. I love the environment and the staff. This is one of my favorite places when I am craving something greasy.
With that said, the home fries really need to be cooked longer to be delicious. Definitely opt for the pancakes unless you can get them to cook them longer for you.
