The cable car ride from Powell to Lombard does make you hungry and after having watched cars wind their tortuous way down Lombard's 5 hairpin bends Za Pizza is the best little place on Hyde street to soothe your hunger pangs. Za serves wildly delicious New York-style pizzas topped with tomatoes and herbs from the owner's garden. The best pizza I've had after NYC. Wash it down with the local Fort Point beer. All variants are equally good, try any one. Lovingly made by the chef.

Loved this pizza. Even though it was delivered 45 minutes later than promised and it was cold, it still tasted great. That says something about the quality and flavor, not so much about their drivers. I bet it would have been amazing if it had been hot and on time.
