Bart the bartender is the best I've seen so far , it's a local yocal type bar. An eclectic crowd of people, makes for a great time. Also if you like Hip hop from the 90's it's definitely for you.
Greatest bar in sf. The people are eclectic but not judgmental. Everyone gets along.
I'm into dive bars. Blarney kind of fits the bill. They have cheap to average beer prices, 5 TVs and a giant projector screen. Good music, and they'll often put the game I want to see on one tv, even if it's niche (because they have enough). Food on weekend mornings is outstanding: great tots and siiiiiiick omelettes. Semi-affiliated with the Irish bakery next door, also awesome. They handle crowds well; I've been to live shows (years ago) and major sporting events where they still got drinks out timely.
But don't come here, because if it's too popular I can no longer enjoy my quiet beer and casual conversation. I'm selfish, sue me.
Wanted to catch NFL game, some food and a cold one before heading to the airport. Kitchen was closed before 6:00 p.m. Received a correct pour of Guinness though. Tough parking on Geary in the evening.
