Lovely seafood in a wonderful warm atmosphere with friendly staff. The fish was amazing and well cooked, the sauce was delicious and the pesto olive oil for the bread was alone worth the trip. The only thing that missed was the crab cakes, which did not rise to the level of the rest of the amazing dishes. The escargot was amazing.

Nice spot for delicious seafood. Great spot for an appetite of any size. Had a sister come into town and asked me to take her here again. Prices were fair.

A wonderful delicious local gem not to be missed! Delightful ambiance, incredibly friendly staff that welcome you in as if you just came home. Do yourself favour and treat yourself to a local Neighborhood Restaurant that shows you the truth charm of San Francisco. ????????????

I just found out this Bay Area treasure was open the same year I moved here, 1997. Alamo Square Seafood Grill is owned by a very nice man called Andre.

I'm pretty sure Andre just wanted to open up what would be an average fish joints in France but here it's special because it's incomparable to all these hip joints open in years since. You can spend twice as much for half as much food down the road at bar Crudo it would be more packed and more loud, more hip I guess? But with this space there is something magical and it's funky decor and personal service.

I wish there were cafes like this everywhere but there's not only in San Francisco, and there's less and less of them each year.
