My go to hot pot spot in downtown San Francisco! Although it’s not AYCE and it’s a little bit pricier, my friends and I all love coming here because it’s so close to our work. Everything on the menu is great, but some of my favorites include the lamb, fried tofu sheets, fish ball with roe inside, and all the sauces. The line can be long so make sure you call ahead, and there is also a private room that you can book if it is available.
Food was good. I like the family style cooking. It's a good place for large group. Only issue is the wait time. If you are planning to go here, book in advance otherwise be ready to wait at least 45 mins.
PS: not recommended for vegetarians.
First time here... Staff was helpful in making selections. It was fun making our own soup. Ingredients are fresh! Also tried the grilled beef kabobs, which were tasty;, and the pork dumplings were good too. The kimchee was good and spicy.
This was the perfect spot for dinner on a cold and rainy night in San Francisco. Don't be misled by the uninspiring surroundings. The quality of food here is first class and well worth the normal 30 - 45 minute wait. Meats were top quality and the broths were incredible. Definitely a place to visit..and revisit!
Half and half broth is the way to go. Drink that soup at the end. It is so tasty!! Could do away with a little less chilly in the soup. The chilly oil itself is probably the actual spicy source. Drink some beer while you're at it. It'll keep you cool. :)
