Hamburger Mary's

Back in the day I used to get some delicious stuff at Hamburger Mary's in Seattle...sadly, visiting this flagship location in the Castro didn't bring back fond memories.
To be sure, the salmon burger and Kobe beef burger we got were cooked perfectly...but the topping choices need updating and simplifying. The Mac and Cheese was cloying and my Bloody Mary should have been called "Mary, why aren't you bloody?" or vodka with food coloring. A single olive was buried in the bottom and a lemon wedge sat forlorn on the edge...not a great cocktail. Isn't that one of the big things here? The drinks? What?
Service was solid. Sweet waiters here.
Also...music repeated several times...I love Janet Jackson but I didn't want to watch the same live performance 2x in less than 30 minutes...

It's a fun atmosphere and the staff are friendly. The food has sadly been more hit than miss lately... There are sometimes fun people to talk to at the bar on a busy night.

You don't go to San Francisco without stopping through the Castro, no matter how you identify. This place was soooooooo gay (How gay was it?!), they served me the check in a sparkling Stiletto heel (not sure if all of the locations do this, but this was the first time I experienced it). No big events were going on when I stopped by for the last meal on my SF trip - I actually kind of enjoyed the low-key atmosphere - but out-of-this-world mac 'n cheese fritters!

Loved this place. The food was great. The drinks was so tasty. I had a great time watching the drag show. The service was amazing friendly people and a fun. I will recommend to go with a lot of people to have a lot of fun. This will be awesome place for a Girls night out.
