Pakwan Restaurant

This place was recommended by a friend and while finding parking is never fun the food was delicious. My Indian grandmother cooks food which has some similar Pakistani roots and their Beef Seekh Kebab and their Achaari Goat Curry really took me back to her cooking. It was amazing! Also their Keema Nan is pretty much the beef Seekh kebab mixture inside a naan and was delicious! We had been craving biryani now while the dish in itself as a meat and rice casserole which is flavored was really good. The biryani wasn't like the Indian biryani I grew up with. Neither did it taste like the Hyderabadi biryani that I have now gotten used to eating since that's really prevalent here nor was it like the Calcutta Biryani that I grew up eating. Brownie points for having potatoes in the Biryani but it just wasn't that great and won't be ordering that. But will definitely be back for the curry and kebabs!

Really enjoyed eating here - the food was delicious and great value. However, the place needs a serious cleaning - the bathroom was filthy, the dining area needs a good scrub, and even the cutlery was not cleaned properly (lipstick on glasses, food not entirely washed off spoons).

Food is affordable and is prepared quickly. The naan was very dry and bland, and the other curry dishes we ordered had WAY too much black pepper in them. The chickpea dish we ordered had a “day old” texture but it tasted pretty good

I don’t generally write reviews, but this place is like no other. Absolutely love their food, their prices and their service. Have been coming for years now and do not plan to stop any time soon.

Counter service. Small portions but very reasonable price & food was good. Be sure to clear your own table when done.
