Soul Food

I rarely leave reviews, but the Hard Knox Cafe earned it.

Came here with some friends, we were seated immediately, drinks came quickly, and food followed not long after.

The corn muffins are amazing (butter and honey not necessary, but available), as is the red beans and rice, yam fries, and friend chicken.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and asked if I would like something else instead of the potato salad (which was a tad sweet for me, although my friend liked it), but I was too full to try anything else.

My only complaint about this place is that it is too far away from my home!

I liked the ambience, like a typewriter and a sewing machine hung on the wall. Hopefully it doesn't fall on you. Lol. Nice food as well!

Great menu, just wish they had a dessert to compliment the excellent soul food selections. Spicy fried chicken, Ox Tail, and ribs are delish. As far as the sides, the Potato salad was mediocre at best but the rest are on point.

Always a great place to eat. The chicken and waffles are amazing have to get it spicy with crispy waffles. Those cornbread muffins are to die for

Awesome mac 'n cheese. Among the best I've had! The staff was delightful and the rest of the food wonderful!
