Fine place for delicious American food. Do not leave if it's busy, it is worth it. I will be back with my relatives. Prices are fair. They have so many reviews for a reason.
This corner has seen its restaurants come a go, from former sushi to Burmese and now American cuisine. I can agree with other critics and diners that have posted their reviews. By the way, I read the reviews before I dined here. It was with some hesitation that I decided to come here to form my own opinion sadly most of the comments regarding service And getting your order wrong, we’re right. I experienced long wait time due to a mixup on my order. Servers were apologetic but none appeared to be joyful. And while servers did appeared to be running around they all had anguished looks on their faces. One server nearly tripped on a patrons table causing the diner’s coffee to splash and almost tip over. Food was over priced, but portions are generous and while the food was not memorable, it wasn’t terrible either. I really wanted to like this place. I hope they can read this and address their staff to exude their service with joy/genuine smile and by getting it right the first time. Hope they can improve their service otherwise it will be their downfall.
The waiting staff is super nice and they check in on you pretty often, offering extra coffee and water. I had the brisket burger and it was amazing! If only someone could roll me home afterwards...
Visiting from Colorado and popped in for breakfast around 8am. Didn’t know what to expect but man... this food changes your life. Everything was fantastic and the staff was great! Carlos was the man! Definitely eat here if you want great food
If you are ever in San Francisco. You absolutely MUST try Ella’s. I tried the French toast, pancakes, eggs, and bacon. It is the best breakfast place I’ve been to and I’ve been to a lot. I traveled from Denver, Colorado to visit and stopped in. Highly recommend. Carlos was an amazing server. When I’m back, I will go again.
Do yourself a service and go try the pancakes, it’s what they are known for. Don’t listen to the sorry reviews. Hands down a way better restaurant than what the stars say.
