Just like the name, this guy is the bomb.
Great flavor
Another great snack/sweet treat option in the Ferry Building! My favorite is the nutella bombolini, but go for the fruit varieties (lemon, raspberry) for a lighter treat. They offer rotating special flavors as well. Check Mr. Bomboloni's Facebook page for their weekly schedule.
Signore Bomboloni e cosi cosi solamente.
I tried these at the Treasure Island Flea Market.Quality was only mediocre. The presentation was very showy down to the Italian flag toothpick. The dough was slightly undercooked but not in a good undercooked churro way. The outer texture was not as I thought it should be, under sweet and under crisp. The filling was the worst, quite tart on the raspberry actually which I got two of. The caramel or similar filling was their special, and that was fantastic. Again, presentation was great too. In the end though I'm there for food and not a show.
Mister Bomboloni's Lemon-Vanilla Custard is like biting into a delicate Italian BOMBOLONI!
Mister Bomboloni's has the most wonderful airiness to every heavenly bite. With a variety of flavors including Chocolate and my favorite, Lemon-Vanilla Custard, with real lemons! If I had to choose a favorite at the SF Ferry building, it would be Mister Bomboloni's Custard-filled amazingness!
You must try it if you are lucky enough to find yourself at the Ferry Building on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday from 10am - 3pm. Hurry before they sell out!
