Mifune Don

I’ve loved Mifune for decades. If you relax, enjoy the house noodles and aren’t expecting to be waited on hand & foot, this is one of the best bangs for your buck, and finest noodle houses in the city.

Very small, intimate setting. Waiter was friendly. I had the katsu (pork) curry. A few minutes after putting in my order the waiter came back asking if I was OK with the chicken as it was prepared instead of the pork I ordered. I said no, because that was not what I ordered. He said it would take a little while longer. In a very short time, to my surprise, he brought out my dish. I actually couldn’t tell if it was chicken or pork. But... it was delicious! It was my first time having this dish. It was flavorful, well seasoned and well presented. The curry wasn’t over-powering.
