Yummy food. Except service was a bit slow. Rice and beans were delicious.
I loved the service and ambience! The restrooms are clean and everything is in orderly fashion. There's not much to offer for vegan pupusas so I had to settle for bean pupusas. The red sauce enhanced them and so did the curtido but nonetheless underelwhelming. The guacamole is a hefty $7 and has a good amount of serving for two people but is pretty bland. Everything was just okay, nothing to rave about. The horchata is good and I'd go back just to try their veggie burrito with plantains beans and rice. The place is very homey and family ran which I really adored!
Very tasty Salvadorian comfort food. The pupusas were excellent and filling. Very homey and just what we needed after a day of work, travel & night out in SF. Friendly, homey service. Highly recommend!
Food is good but they charge you for everything, I MEAN EVERYTHING! You order some sour cream they charge you, you expect tortillas with your food but they charge you for each person who ask for tortillas! Our drinks (non alcohol) where over $4.25 EA. What used to be a meal that would have cost us between 40 and $50 cost us almost $75, ridiculous!
Only thing I don't like about this place is most of the menu is in Spanish, which sucks for someone like me who doesn't speak or read a word of Spanish. This is one of the few late night places that is open and has a great selection. Also, it's pretty close to one of the most popular bar, El Rio. The staff is great as well, very friendly. They serve sauerkraut which is great addition specially when you are drunk.
