Le Marais Bakery

Great breakfast experience. Loved the setup, with nice outside tables in full sun on a good day. Appreciated the fact one can create his own bowl. I can also recommend the croque madame, very well made although together with the bowl it's a bit much (make sure you're hungry!)

Love this place! The ambience, the pastries, the cooked food were totally awesome. I felt spoiled like a poodle in Paris. Service was a little slow, because they, like every other restaurant in SF, were short staffed. My food took a while to come out, as it's freshly cooked-to-order. Folks, please don't be too harsh on your reviews about the food coming out slowly--this ain't fast food!

Prices were more than reasonable for what I got. Portions were big too.

This place is only getting three stars because it’s cute and I like their food. Their pastries are delish too.
I’ve gone a few times and there’s always something not quite right. Today our table was next to the coffee maker. He slides over two coffees after we’ve finished eating- no apology. Is this a coffee shop where you just make the drinks and leave them on the counter?
One of the drinks is wrong, still no apology. Again leaves the drink on the counter and tells us it’s ours.
The kitchen is always great. The food is always great. The service isn’t great.
Maybe they’re understaffed. But at least get some servers with customer service to make up for it.

Delicious food and good service. The space is very nice and you can see the baristas work. Good selection of pastries. They have wine and wine-based cocktails. Food is as good as their marina location. The steak is cooked nicely and comes with either salad, or salad and potatoes. Croissant sandwiches are great.
