New Taraval Cafe

Love this little breakfast place. Everything on the menu is good. My favorite part is that you have a choice of hashbrowns or fresh fruit. I always pick the fruit because it is a nice variety of seasonal fresh fruit, not the pre-pack stuff that is full of mushy melon.

My girlfriend and I come in on the regular. The family that runs this great establishment is doing an amazing job. The key thing I look for in a family owned business is when they make you feel like you're part of their family and this family does this every single time. Side note, I ordered the pork chops yesterday and one of the owners made a delicious sauce for me that consisted of A1 steak sauce, Tabasco sauce, and ketchup. This pretty much changed the game of pork chops for me because it was an amazing little touch. Thanks again the family of New Taraval Cafe!

Fast, friendly service and generous portions of standard diner food at this no-frills, hole-in-the-wall greasy spoon.

Three things stood out to me as really exemplary:

(1) Coffee was better than most diners. You expect watery, flavorless coffee at a place like this, but the coffee here was tasty and strong.

(2) Lightning fast service with a smile. There were like 4 different people who attended to me, and I was constantly being checked on, so my coffee was never less than half full. Everyone was really warm and friendly even they blazed through taking care of a packed restaurant.

(3) Substituting fruit for a mountain of greasy potatoes was a standard option that they offered. The fruit was a large portion of apple, orange, tangerine, green grapes, and black grapes.

A cute old style diner with delicious finger licking breakfast options. The coffee is bottomless and their Monterey eggs are super delicious. The place is cash only but it's worth it.

Not from town but came across this randomly and I'm glad we stop by. The food was so good and with lots of flavor. I will be coming here when ever I'm in town and will let my family that lives around know about this great spot. Normally I take pictures but everything looked so good I just started digging in.
