We had a great time here and food was amazing! Both cauliflower and fish taco were really yum! The staff at the bar was super friendly too! Great selections of beers and cocktails as well! Highly recommend
Went here for the SF restaurant week dinner. The restaurant is in a lovely space with great ambiance and lighting, the food was pretty good but not amazing, and the service was pretty bad.
For just 2 people we ended up there for 2.5 hours because of excessively long delays in having our order taken and between getting our courses.
They were also out of several beers but the server didn't bother to tell us up front until we tried to order each one that was unavailable.
The food tasted good, but the main course was just a huge bowl of polenta with some tomatoes, mushrooms and greens sprinkled on top.
Final verdict: come here with people you like because it's a nice place to spend an evening, but the food and service won't make the night for you.
This place is solid. I needed to check it out once I found out that there is new owners, and that they started opening for brunch. the restaurant is really open, but it's a little bit more sophisticated than it used to be. I had a shandy that was made with kolsch, cranberry, and rum. it wasn't sweet at all, and quite refreshing! For brunch, we shared the salmon plate. Probably the best smoked salmon I've had. And then I ordered the Benedict and was thrilled with it. I did take a bite of my brothers Caesar salad, and they put a hint of Dill in their Caesar. I'll order that again as well. In fact, I would order all of those things again.
Service was also a delight!
Good burger. Good beer. Could have been an off night, but lucked into surly waitstaff and glacial response. We even appeared to get the speedy service, since it took even longer for the table next to us. Our drink order took 32 minutes. Food arrived from the kitchen minutes later.
Love the redesign, back area is still dog friendly too. The BBQ was good before the redesign but a bit overpriced. The new menu is much more approachable, it is a bit weird that it's full service, but the service was good so that's not a bad thing. Hope this works out for them. Had the two new Belgium sours which are a very nice addition to their line up which is not particularly my style. The salt and pepper shrimp was also a nice appetizer.
