This is one of the few places in the Sunset that I can convince my east-side-of-SF friends (you know, the ones who think everything falls into the Pacific Ocean once you go west of Arguello?) to actually make the trek out for. The menu options for brunch aren't overwhelming and are all delicious. Their iced spiked cider is especially good, but all their bar options are solid as well.

Amazing food, food so good I want to come back tomorrow to try different dishes. Service and atmosphere were both nice. The tomato soup was the best I’ve ever had.

4 months later and I was once again blown away by fantastic food and excellent service. The grilled cheese is heavenly and the buffalo mozzarella salad is decadent.

Had the eggs in jail. A classic. I did not have the appetite to finish the potatoes, unfortunately. However, both dishes were great. It was a pretty hearty meal.

Went around 11 am (10:50) on a Sunday morning. I waited less than half an hour for a table for 1. Got seated at the bar. Almost missed my spot because I was getting a coffee nearby.

I really want to like this place but it's hard to get past some of the staff. Some of them are really nice and friendly, others it seemed to make you feel like you're an inanimate object. Foods pretty good but doesn't have the pop it did when it first opened

Whether consciously or not, Outerlands selects its most welcomed diners based on how they are groomed and dressed. At brunch - in SF, no less - this unspoken policy felt surprising. The meal? It was hit-or-miss on my last trip. The soup was room-temperature (inedible). Sweet pastries are caramelized to perfection. Ambiance? I tend to love the reclaimed wood look. It suits the coastal location. Service was typical brunch-rush. I'd go again.
