It's a Mexican food place, it is a self service place, I had 3 different kind of tacos, nothing special, tacos were 3 dollars each, I don't recomend it.
We miss the Mission and this is by far my favorite taqueria for food, wall art and atmosphere especially when the taco stand is running in full swing. This place hasn’t changed in the 14 years I’ve been tacoing it up.
This informal taqueria is a local's favorite. The setting is simple, with paper plates, and counter service, but the tacos are delicious. Have yet to try other things but I will be back. Everyone speaks Spanish there, which is a very good sign!!
Love being able to order the tacos right inside the door. Check out the murals in the dining area, and then afterwards be sure to check out the Balmy Alley murals. A new one to be unveiled in October.
They advertise their vegetarian options pretty heavily out front, (see photo) but they are kind of strange flavors like “Italian blend” and “stir fry”. Not stuff I’ve ever wanted in a burrito. Tried the regular veggie burrito made vegan with black beans. Not a lot of flavor and likely lots of cross contamination given the amount of meat/seafood being prepped nearby. At $10, it is pretty steep for a Mission burrito. On the plus side, this place is open late past 10pm.
