El Toreador

This is one of my favorite restaurants in S.F., My mom & I used to always stop here to eat after a movie or shopping in Stonestown ..from the mid 1960s until today the food never disappoints . Huge combination plates , better Mexican food then in Mission dist . I took my son lay night for a early Bday celebration, I live in Redwood City now and although many restaurants in S.F. changed over the years El Toredor has kept its charm . I adore the colorful decor & choices of beer. We had a great dinner. Expect a wait as this is a popular place.

Been coming here for 25 years. It is very refreshing to see charming places like this still exist in San Francisco. Always loved the food and Margaritas, excellent selection of beers (75 to choose from!). Always get good service here. Sometimes there is a wait, but you can sign in and wait at the bar a couple of doors down! Highly recommended. A++

The chicken mole, the last item on the entrees, is amazing. Great salsa and decent free small bowl of tomato soup before the meal. The pork "crouton" in the soup is great.

This is hands down one of my favorite places. If you want authentic food at a great price, look no further. Their food is fresh, delicious, and all around amazing (and so are their margaritas). Service is always fast and friendly, and you can order food for take out. I'd highly recommend eating here.
