Stopped by see some friends and had the BEST chowder bread bowl on the wharf!!
Unique Italian color scheme outside and very comfortable inside. San Francisco can be a cold place to walk but do yourself a favor - walk to this place and try their chowder...w a history of fisherman in the family, you'll taste it in every spoonful!

When in SF we always have our seafood at Capurro's. The dinners have always been great and they are always kind to our kids. BTW our kids love pretty much anything out of the ocean. I always have to protect my cioppino otherwise they will eat it all.

We had the groupon coupon for two crabs and dessert and they were delicious. So meaty. Also we purchased the calamari which were also delicious. The only think that is keeping me from giving my experience a 5 star is the customer service. We had a reservation and arrived on time and spent 15 minutes standing at the front waiting to even be acknowledged. Then they took a long time to even come to our table to refill our drinks. We got there at 7pm and didn't get our check until 9pm at that time they were not even busy there was only two tables other than ours. Food was delicious but service sucked.
