At first it may seem a bit pricey for a sandwich, but you're getting a meal for sure. They give a good portion and the bread is dense and soft. Really lovely textures and presentation was great, with the edible flower petals and cute paper. Other options looked good too. I did have a little raw flour chunk in the bread but nothing too crazy. Overall would recommend.

Bread N Chu is a little gem in the Richmond that is easily glossed over. They pretty much only do the Japanese style sandwiches but they are tasty! They are however on the pricier end if you're willing to dough out the money. Something unusual, they also have an ube latte that is pretty good!

Fun, japanese style sandwiches in a small sidewalk shop. Tastes great, good options. Not much seating available.

Tonkatsu is the way to go. I have tried the pork belly (pretty delish) and egg salad (messy but GOOD), but I go back to the tonkatsu. it's pretty bare bones, as there aren't many places to sit, but who cares. Take it to go, as I do. And definitely get the "piggy" cookies. Plain is my go to.
