Nice bar, servers are attentive and welcoming. Decent whiskies and cocktails too. Try their craft beer that is poured directly from a unitank next to the bar. It's delicious!
Most of the food items tasted good and authentic. Shikanji and chai were great. Ambience and service is top notch.
Except the Chicken 65. As a South Indian I would expect the chicken 65 to look and taste a similar way, but what was on the menu and what we received were two different things. The menu had the typical description of a chicken 65 ginger , garlic , curry leaves etc but what we received was a weird tasting dish with some curry slapped on chicken pieces. When I asked the waiter their answer was not satisfactory. I understand different chefs have different interpretations of a dish but this one is super misleading and tastes nothing like a chicken 65. I have attached an image for reference.
We will go here again but I really wish they fix these dishes or remove them for the menu. These will only bring their rating down.
It almost seems too good to be true. Stays open late, food is incredible, service is absolutely marvelous. Love this place.
Try the Paneer Korma!! And the cocktails are so unique AND DELICIOUS!
We decided to come to this very highly rated restaurant in the fun Castro neighborhood and we’re not disappointed and are to be able to heap more praise on it.
This is some of the best Indian food I’ve had anywhere. Everything was made well, using local and organic when possible. The bengan bharta was tart, smoky, and smooth, while the coconut curry veggies were sweet, nutty, and so delicious. The cilantro sauce was better than usual, though the tamarind sauce was a little too thin. And the piña colada with coconut yogurt was quite an unusual treat.
We’re already planning to return next week with our cousins.
It’s one of my favorite Indian restaurant. The food is so delicious. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. They brew their own beer and it’s really good.
