I'm no simpleton (lol) but I don't understand the hype about this place... The wait staff were nice but the place has such bad acoustic that we couldn't hear anything and literally had to ask her to repeat what she said on the other side of the table. And it wasn't like the place was packed or that someone was being loud around us. Food wise, the focaccia was good but the fritto misto was so salty it was inedible. And while I knew the caviar pasta would be very salty, what I was not expecting is it to be so oily. The carbonara was visually stunning, but weak in flavor. The only item we liked was the risotto. The ingredients are clearly high quality but I think the flavors fell short.
After reading a previous review from some simpleton complaining that the caviar pasta was too salty i decided i had to try this restaurant .
Firstly if you are going to complain about salt in caviar… just don’t eat caviar as you do not deserve it. Secondly if you do not realize caviar is super salty do not leave restaurant reviews, you have no idea what you are referring to.
i ordered the caviar spaghetti to check the veracity of the said toron’s statements. I also ordered the duck, and scallops and squid for appetizers.
The wine was great , the chef was kind and checked on me at the service of every dish. He really cared about the food.
The apps were so good i ordered them twice. The caviar pasta tasted as if someone very caring about quality had added a bunch of high grade caviar to perfectly cooked spaghetti.
I rate the cold caviar spaghetti five stars out of five stars. But only order it if you appreciate and like caviar. Caviar is very salty… the dish has a lot “a lot” of caviar ❤️. Will order it again.
The duck was *#!! Delicious. The food here stood up to any Michelin starred place but served in a more homey comfortable atmosphere.
Loved the restaurant.
If i still lived in the city i would keep my opinions a secret and just bring people i like here. But since i moved out of country eat here and please do not complain about salt in caviar and out yourself as a simpleton.
Came for the caviar spaghetti but very disappointed - it’s very very salty… the server did warn us that it’s salty, but I think for this price they should try to make it tasty, instead of just putting ingredients together and tell diners to tolerate.
On the other hand, small plates are awesome, especially the beef tartare which is so tender and fresh.
The restaurant itself is small and cute, but the music is a little too loud and noisy, making the dining experience less pleasant.
$100 per person lost tax and tip
Amazing! 🤩 home made taste. All plates were gorgeous!
I am a picky eater and I can definitely admit that the food served at Ciccino deserves 5 stars.
Ambient is amazing, the cable car passes next to it and the decoration is so sutil and minimalist. Highly recommended!
Check the pictures for the presentation because the taste can’t be explained by words 😍
