Excellent and very authentic Japanese cuisine. Arigatoo Hiro & Team Izakayumi!!

Great authentic Japanese cooking, and not just sushi and sashimi, although it is one of the few places I know where I can get uni regularly, and that at a very reasonable price. The chef owner changes and tweaks the menu often, so I can always try his new creations every time I visit. The sake selection and quality too is excellent. Great, familiar vibe. There are many Japanese patrons there too, so I kind of feel it's the SF Japanese community giving their stamp of approval.

Uni was fresh and shio saba ,negi toro tarutaru was sooo good. The staff were very friendly and explained well about the sake and it tasted very clean and fresh. Will definitely come back.

Best izakaya i believe in town! Just like the one in Japan. Sake is so good and the same as in Japan. Staffs are so nice and attentive. Explains about sake so well. Must visit place.

A chance discovery of this little delight when I ventured out for dinner, after a long flight from India. Great food, super helpful staff and ever willing chef who made my Vegetable Tempura when I told him that I am vegetarian. He made that extra effort. Had good chat too, shared my Japan experience. Language always helps. Highly recommend.
