I usually assume the first few reviews of a new spot are friends of the owners or bots. I am neither of those. I stay in the neighborhood and was curious of this new spot that was under construction since the early pandemic days.
Fried porkchop was super tender, can cut it with a fork. The meat was also well marinated/brined. Very delicious.
The cuisine is a hybrid of Hawaiian, Asian, HK bakery, American of some sort. It works well as chaotic as it seems.
Owner is nice and chatty. Said he does private events where you just order $xxx amount of food and the whole place is yours. BYOB. Watch the game on the big screen and karaoke/party after. They have a karaoke machine there.
Want to try the Loco moco next.
We had a great time at Mealtime Cafe. The owner is super nice and all the dishes were soooo good! The fried pork chop was my favorite. We will definitely be back for more!
Mike the owner was fabulous at making dining experience pleasurable. Fried chicken pieces were good size and priced reasonably. Mozz sticks cooked perfectly, and their popcorn chicken had a nice salty/spicy batter mix. GO GO GO!
I had the opportunity to try the restaurant's recommended dish - grilled pork with gravy, and it was impressive in terms of tenderness and taste. The gravy sauce was also plentiful, which made it a perfect complement to rice. Additionally, the milk tea was enjoyable, and the seating environment was welcoming and comfortable, which enhanced the dining experience. However, the lemon drink was overly sweet for my liking, so I suggest reducing the amount of sugar to make it more balanced.
Super good deal .
Fried chicken is the bomb
