    Had some lovely takeout from SPQR during the Pandemic/pricey but worth it. Ordered the takeout Valentine's Special yesterday &, since it came w/only 1/2 oz of caviar, splurged on another ounce. When I arrived, the chef was preparing two lovely heart-shaped donuts to throw in as "his treat." After he left, the manager (who was super personable) told me the chef had also upgraded our 1/2 ounce of caviar to a full ounce. Not sure how they will make any $ on this deal, but was touched and appreciative -- the food was also delicious, BTW.

    We had been to SPQR a long time ago and had really enjoyed the authentic pasta dishes and service -- long before the Michelin star. We decided to have our special New Years Eve meal this year with them. The set menu absolutely was delicious. Had the steak with black truffles for main dish, accompanied with lovely side dishes. Couldn't be happier with the food and service, despite the crazy business of a holiday meal.
