Headed back from the Gold country and stopped in Manteca at I-99 and the 120. Nice lunch at Panera. A new spot on 120 west of the 99. A refreshing break from the usual burgers and fries you find on the road!
Let me preface this by saying, that I needed a lot of food for a lot of people. I wanted to do something delicious that was convenient. I was able to get nearly 50 sandwiches and a ton of this vegetable tray called salad. Everyone that we fed was incredibly impressed. I was surprised by the deliciousness of the cookies and I wished that I could sample the cornucopia of sandwiches that we got. Thank you Panini!
I got the pick two with soup and half a sandwich. I didn't expect soup to come with a large piece of bread with a sandwich. But I guess I won't complain because the fresh French roll was just the way I love with the outside chewy but not dried out and flaky. And the inside was tender and moist. The vegetable soup was ok but I've had tastier.
This location is the best one I've been to (and I've been to alot). Food is always great, but what makes this place stand out, is their super friendly, attentive servers. Always cleaning up, so tables are clear, always ready to help if you have a request and very cheerful. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.
