By far the best authentic Mexican dishes you can find. The meals are delicious and at reasonable prices. Even your leftovers, if you have some, are great the next day for a yummy snack. You'll want to return soon.
Meant to take a picture before we ate, however, the food looked and smelled so good we were part of the way into dinner before we remembered to take a picture. Salsa was great! Enchiladas, tacos and burritos we tried were all wonderful! The waitress was polite and quick with our requests and went above and beyond! I'm so sad that after two years living in Stockton, I just now find this place and am moving in two weeks. :(
I've been looking for a place here in Stockton with good Hispanic food. There's only a few that's worth talking about and arroyos is one of them. If u love cheese and meat, mite I recommend their deep fried quesadillas that they are known for.. if you like it with extra meat sauce, even tho it's not needed, "but I'd recommend" just to add that extra flavor to it.. I can say me and my wife and friends will definitely be coming back
Ok, impossible for me to be completely objective. I first ate at this restaurant when it was downtown and I was four years old. I could not wait for my dad to come home on Friday night with a dozen burritos. So my favorite, non politically correct meal is a beef burrito lunch. The tortillas are freshly made every day and special. The location is lovely. Try to get a seat at the window and gaze out at the lovely lake with ducks. And much love to Arroyos always. Remembering the current owner Rick Arroyo as a young bus boy, skipping dinner at home during the week to the library (code for dinner at Arroyos)to feeding me for $1.25 while I went to school at San Joaquin Delta in the late 70s. Thank you. This restaurant will always hold a special place in my memories.
I had the best meal here. To start the service was top notch. I live a whole plant based lifestyle. The server took the time to design a dinner that fit my needs. The meal was outstanding. She came back to see if I liked the food then told how to order it in the future. After dinner my date and I just kicked back and talked. No one bothered us at all. We didn't notice how late it was until the music was turned off. We were the last customers to leave and they were still nice to us. Visit this restaurant for the food but hang out for the people. You can't go wrong eating here.
