We went in Summer of 2020. A tough time for restaurants. The owners did an excellent job making our experience enjoyable. The food and service were very good. Also a very nice view.
We waited outside in the dark at the front door for quite a while, while the person in front of us was apparently waiting for a to-go order and the reception man was running around, checking, talking, and ignoring us standing out in the cold. Ate outside at night in the parking lot due to COVID, so it was chilly despite heaters. They could get 2-3 more as winter comes on. The tables weren't level, and we moved it ourselves a couple feet closer to a heater.
But after a bad start the staff was VERY solicitous and checked maybe 5 times throughout our stay to be sure we were ok.
The food was okay. My fajitas were not sizzling as I am accustomed, and they had a thick sweet "sauce" on the meat and veggies. I guess because it wasn't what I was expecting it was disappointing. But I can't say it was bad. We had cheesecake for dessert. I think it was commercially bought but tasted good. May or may not go back.
Tasty food & fast, polite staff. Good prices with ocean view. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone in this area
I'm from Tex-Mex country and this place is phenomenal! Best chips and salsa I have EVER had...the tamales and burritos were huge and well prepared. And it's a beautiful setting too.
The food was great and prepared in a timely manner. The service was phenomenal. The price was too be expected for such a large group, maybe slightly more than anticipated but we had no complaints at the end of the evening so I'd still say it was worth every penny. Everyone was decked out in their Corona's best with face masks and the latex gloves and there wasn't a single direction that you could turn without seeing a sign reminding you about social distancing guidelines. The staff didn't force their patrons to dawn the post apocalyptic attire inside their establishment as long as everyone was adhering to the 6ft space allotment between families. The kids all enjoyed their dinner and the adults enjoyed their break from cooking and cleaning which was all we had initially set out to accomplish so ☆☆☆☆☆ it is.
