Food is good! As Asian stomach, having a morning porridge is wonderful brunch to start a day! but it feels so cold inside... I didn't even feel warm after the entire brunch.
Wonderful decor in this place, definitely a nice place for brunch or a date night. The price of the dishes are a bit high for what they offer on the plate though. Presentation of the food is very nice but the taste isn't super amazing, just okay. Some of the food tasted either a bit too salty/sweet or lacked Thai flavor.
The food was killer. I’ve never had Thai-fusion-breakfast and it was amazing. The food was so flavorful. I got the Golden Pork and I could not get enough of that tender pork and the sauce - the sauce! It was a rich and heavy breakfast. You have to try the Kan Kiin bacon! 100% a must.
My mom’s matcha pancakes were so fluffy and not-too-sweet. My brother got the Pan Egg and I wanted to eat all of the delicious looking meat on his plate. The sausage was A+ juicy and delicious.
My only demerit - The servers were all nice but kind of inattentive for having the place being so empty while we were there.
New spot trying to get into the swing of things. They have a Yelp waitlist but since we were around the area, we just opted to leave our name. It was about 30 minutes wait before my party of 3 got seated. We came for brunch on a Sunday and brunch ends at 2pm. We noticed many people got their orders super late.. like 1 hour+ but we didn’t experience it, luckily! Ordered 4 dishes to share:
- Corn Frites Crab with Eggs Benedict: unexpectedly one of my favorite dishes of the four. I love corn so the frites was a great texture in the bite of oozing egg with crab. They didn’t skimp on the crab too! Large and yummy pieces. Will order again!
- Spaghetti Kee Mao: unexpectedly my second favorite dish of the four. Kick of spice that I didn’t expect but it was the perfect amount. Lots of seafood in this dish which made it very worthwhile. Would order again too!
- French toast: solid dish with lots of fruit, yum! Definitely worth adding the ice cream scoop to and I shall next time.
- Matcha Pancakes: the one dish I looked the most forward to, but didn’t deliver. Not enough matcha sauce so each layer became too dry. Loved the dragonfruit topping but the pancakes, I’ll pass.
Overall, solid spot $105 for three people, 4 dishes, and a drink. Will be back!
Cute Thai place in the Westlake area. I came here for brunch. They have a lot of choices both American with Thai flavors and traditional Thai dishes. I opted for the Kai Gata which apparently is a traditional breakfast. It was so flavorful. It had ground chicken, sausages, pork loaf, bacon, two eggs, potato medley, and something called "maggie dazzle." I don't know what "maggie dazzle" is but whatever it is, it was yummy. The thick-cut bacon though was tough. I had to ask for a steak knife to slice it and it was still hard to slice. I think they're still relatively new, and are still working on some service issues but otherwise I would definitely go back to try their other dishes.
