This place is a GREAT place to get the PERFECT gifts and food from. They make you feel like family as soon as you come through the door.

Great place for Polynesian food, also got some nice Polynesian materials, the only reason I gave 3 stars is price too high

Too expensive, any extra items (items that aren't included in regular plate selections) are sold by the pound (I got one baked taro and paid about $10 for it, really? If I wasn't craving it, I'd have said 'no thanks!'). They have 2 or 3 item plates and you cannot pick 2 identical items (you can't ask for 2 servings of an item, all items have to be different), but the banana and/or taro comes with and do not count towards your 2 or 3 items, thank goodness for that! These plates alone are expensive as well, and they are stingy w/portions, unlike another place I love in Hayward! They do also have half moon pineapple pies, which are pretty good, however, the downfall is that the crust is greasy and seems as if not baked all the way through, and I always have to put it back in the oven when I get home...this really does make a difference, try it! But some of us can't wait, and just bite right into the pie lol...to the owners, I understand it's a business, but it just seems like some serious price gouging going on here! Sadly, there aren't very many places to get decent poly food, and 'they' know this, and realize that ppl will pay their rates! Ugh!!! I paid almost $100 (true!!!) For 3 plates, 1 oka, 1 baked taro...wth right? There's my $.02, or rant, or both lol
