“Wow! what a local gem hidden in Foster City’s Edgewater Plaza. It is our first time to try this place and it didnt disappoint.. We ordered their bestsellers like ORINAL BEEF EMPANADA, Mushroom Empanada and Spinach empanada all are Amazingly delicious.. What I loved about their empanada is the crust-it is flaky,thin and crispy not oily ,not soggy and the interesting part is the filling you can taste it’s freshness and you can tell that it is made from scratch… The ambience gives us a homey atmosphere,it feels like your family is serving you a heart good meal. Amazing service as well.. We will definitely be back for more👏”

“Great addition to japanese restaurants in Foster City since 3 have closed. It is still on grand opening. We arrived around 5:30 pm. and got seated right away. It was not that crowded. The interior is cozy and nice. There are 3 servers at the time, and we we greeted right a way when we are ready to order. Since it is still a grand opening, the first drink is on the house. Anything from the ftidge except sake. There are many roll dishes on the menu. We order red dragon , sashimi special, and chicken karaage. The sashimi special is presented nicely. I am not sure if they reuse the flower or not. It is kind of waste but make the presentation nice. It is generous cut and yummy except the hamachi. I just feel it is not melt in the mouth sesnsation. The red dragon is nice. It is a shrimp tempura roll with chopped spicy tuna on top. It is filling. Chicken karaage on the other side is not seasoned enough. It is pretty bland, but luckily, we carry chili sauce with us, and with chili sauce, it is good. Texture wise, it is cooked through. This place is good for big groups since it has plenty of tables.”

“There's a number of Taiwanese dessert chains these days including Meets Fresh. We now have a more mom & pop shop establishment in Foster City. Sweethoney seems to be new to the mix but absolutely necessary in this plaza. Didn't checkout more than the coconut milk jelly as takeout. Oh my god, this thing is actually a coconut. It comes out in a carved, hollowed out coconut with its flesh ground and mixed in with milk and jelly. Absolutely delicious. If you're even remotely enjoy coconut flavor, this is it. Will return to check out more things.”

“The Lucky Supermarket- located in the Edgewater Shopping Center has a great selection of wines. Actually more wine inventory than the Safeway at Woodlake in San Mateo. The cake and bakery section is very small but I can observe large ovens for baking. The Lucky store bakery offers 3 Mexican Bolillo(Pan Francés) French Bread for $1.00. The produce section is very small but very clean and organized. If you are the neighborhood for a walk along the canal, I recommend a visit to the Supermarket.”

“Clean store and friendly staff. I ordered a cheeseburger and some French fries. The food was not visually appealing, and the fries were not crispy; that said, the cheeseburger was tasty and juice. This store is located in Metro Center mall, and there are plenty of parking available. Price is fair for the quality you get. I do recommend it.”

“5 Food, 5 Service, 4.5 Ambiance; Yummy! Have the womlette (omelette in a waffle). Surprised with the tater tots, cheese and meat perfectly melded into a waffle. (See pics) Sweet waffles were tasty too. Everything was served with the correct accompaniments. Didn’t really need the toast but yummy addition anyhow. Ice coffee was strong and smooth. Wish they had an electronic menu with photos or self order kiosk with photos because there were a lot of choices, only one cashier and plenty of hungry people waiting for me to order. Plenty of outdoor seating, including a sofa and umbrellas if needed. Everyone left happy and satisfied. $45 3 people”

“So they use to be Sui Mai Factory, then they were Pan Kee foods, and now Dumpling Kitchen!... For now anyways hahaha Anywho, I don't know if it was a name change or a change in ownership but they're the sister restaurant to the Dumpling Kitchen in the city in the Sunset. The one frequented by Ali Wong. I don't care about that. The only thing that mattered to me is that they didn't get rid of their frozen custard baos. And they didn't! Looks like they still have all the frozen foods from their Pan Kee - Sui Mai days, now with hot foods ready for takeout or delivery through Grubhub. We got the sui mais and their custard baos as usual. They have a large assortment of dumplings but I've found the skin is too thick for my preference. And while they have more meat, they lack flavor compared to my normal dumpling joint. The custard baos and sui mais are better buys imo. Moving on. For hot foods, we got D5: Taiwan braised beef over rice. I thought it lacked beef as it's heavy on rice, pickled veggies and steamed broccoli, but it all has good flavor. They also recommended A24: Xi'an pork belly rougamo. Basically fried pork belly sando. It comes with two so we got one spicy and one not spicy... But there was zero heat to the spicy one so if you like it hot, ask for extra spicy? Overall, I'm excited to try more of their hot food options. And they offer 10% off to your first online order. You know I like a deal.”

“What a great surprise! The locally sourced ingredients made all the difference between Poppies and other huge chains. Acme bread, Levi’s kombucha, It’s It, and Kronuts are to die for. Even pour over coffee! The ham and cheese croissant was warm buttery heaven, the bagel and locks had a perfect composition of ingredient ratios! Super friendly staff! Will definitely make this a regular spot!”
