This place is a gem! Ordered the schnitzel and a warm pretzel along with one of the German drinks, I cannot remember the name of at the moment, and was very satisfied! The food was spot on! I've eaten at many German restaurants, and this is easily at the top. The grocery store has some of the best selection of german and European goods I have found in the bay area, and the staff were delightful! I would 100% recommend you try this place for their food, hospitality, and market! Amazing experience and can't wait to return!
We met with friends at this place for dinner. we heard about this spot from a lot of people. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff welcomed us with a smile and we felt very good. The meal was tasty. We had a great time and we shall definitely come back again. we highly recommend this place.
Great beers! Service can be hit or miss depending on when you go. Ordered this giant pretzel which was delicious but paired with a hot mustard sauce that was basically straight horseradish which ruined it. Wouldn't recommend the mustard but the pretzel was delicious. Would be nice to have a different sauce or maybe a beer cheese option.
I seriously love this German pub. It has the most awesome selection of draft German imported beer that I've ever seen. Ten plus at all times and a great mix of types. It's unmatched in the area to my knowledge. And actually I've never seen it's like of quality and variety even in Germany.
Food is pretty good with limited selection. Decent sausages and a few other items plus a daily special. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for dinner, unless the plan is to drink awesome beer and eat some food while you're at it.
Small exterior patio with shared bench seating. No view or decor but it's shaded and heated and has a pretty good vibe. I wouldn't call it a beer garden because there is no garden. But at least it's outside and the weather is often nice.
Cool little shop in front featuring imported European food and alcohol. Nice rare real imported items.
Parking can be a bit challenging and costs a few dollars but not too bad. I always find a spot within a few blocks and in less than ten minutes looking.
This is my favorite pub. Period no contest.
One of my personal all time favorite places in Redwood City!! Great energetic vibes and awesome German food beer and sweets! A store in the front with mostly European brands and a ???? lively beer garden in the back. Great staff and crew! Been going here since a kid. Definitely try their German drafts and big fresh baked pretzels!!
