Love all of their bun mi’s. I’ve tried their chicken, beef, pork, and tofu. Can’t decide on a favorite but the tofu is pretty delicious.
One of, if not the best banh mi I've had. Amazing. Cheap too! Definitely worth a lunch stop after shopping in the Haight.
I first stumbled upon them at The Truck Stop. We tried the lemongrass pork and the five spice chicken. The meat was tender and juicy. The food was good. Also the iced coffee was so good! The truck is really efficient the wait is never too long.
Love their tofu banh mi + fried egg.
They had a special chicken soup today, which sounded perfect for the chilly weather. The broth was light and garnished with green onions and cilantro to give it a fresh brightness. Could've used a little more salt, but it didn't taste bad and had a decent chicken flavor. I wish it was hotter, though. It's just not as appetizing to have lukewarm soup.
Also, I think it'd be better if they used a larger container. They used this little soup container and stuffed it with vermicelli, chicken, and sliced pork roll. With everything together, there's not a lot of space left for the broth. Since everything was limited by the size of the tiny container, it felt incomplete. Serving it in a larger container with more noodles and broth would definitely make it more wholesome.
