Ballard Inn & Gathering Table

Perfect staff. Jarrett our dinner waiter, Myra who checked us in at 3pm and was back at breakfast to overwhelm us with service. Spencer also fussing over us too. And the amazing Budi creating such a wonderful menu and training staff so well he can take time to visit tables during dinner service. Great reunion with 90 year old friend who announced we should plan on an annual visit. He has seen it all and overwhelming impressed by The Ballard Inn.

We had the nicest weekend at Ballard Inn during CA distancing measures. Food was top notch, room was quiet and the neighborhood is great for walking. Thanks to Spencer, Desiree, Myra, Jennifer, Jesus and George for making our stay memorable and enjoyable. Your service is impeccable. Thank you!

Amazing bed and breakfast. Kind and attentive staff with pleasant, clean rooms! Great personal touches, like fresh cookies left on your doorknob in the evenings, and a wine and cheese every afternoon from 4-5. Would 100% return for another trip.

We had such a lovely time at the Gathering Table to celebrate our Anniversary and my Birthday. I had requested they write Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday on our dessert plates specifying who to place which message in front of when I made my reservation online with Open Table and they did not miss a beat to truly surprised my boyfriend when they presented him with the message on his dessert plate. I truly appreciated the service to help make a special occasion memorable for us. The food was top notch. I ordered the duck breast which was cooked medium rare for me and melted in my mouth. My BF had their salmon special and he could not stop raving about it. He really wanted to lick his plate clean but had to restrain himself.

We really considered cancelling our dinner reservations the following night at another restaurant to come back to the Gathering Table but we decided we needed to give other places in the area a try. We wish we did come back to the Gathering Table because the other place we went to the following night did not take care of our special request which did disappoint us for our special occasion. We can't wait to come back up for a visit and enjoy more delicious offerings at the Gathering Table. Thank you to the staff for such a wonderful meal and a memorable experience for us.

Always so perfect. From check in to check out, everyone is so attentive and genuinely nice. They make sure you feel welcomed and see always readily available to help your stay even better.
The atmosphere is so calming and relaxing, the rooms are beautiful and the food is spectacular!
We love coming here as it is only a few hours away and we can feel detached from the hustle and bustle of the routine.
