The food here is authentic. The house
specialty is deep pit style barbacoa. It is not BBQ. The translation from Google is incorrect. The lamb is served in it's broth that has garbanzos and rice. It is sublime in flavor and tender. I order the lamb tacos with the consomme which is broth English. The corn tortillas are homemade to order by hand. The carne asada is grilled steak that is cooked to order served with rice and beans or chopped for tacos. The carnitas are delicious. The red salsa is very hot, the green salsa is spicy medium heat. This is not a full service restaurant it is a taqueria that specializes in lamb. Expect to wait for your food, it is prepared to order not precooked. The lamb is made daily, if you go late, they may run out. Lamb is difficult to find in Mexican restaurant, beef barbacoa is more common. I always order the lamb because Mr. Torres is the best in Los Angeles County, Ventura County, Santa Barbara County and San Luis County. I do not mind the long wait times, give me more family time. The lamb is worth it. I only eat the best.
Very well kept and welcoming restaurant. They provide large portions and for economical prices. We liked the food very much and the waiters were super attentive and chatty. Will definitely recommend this place.
Good quality meat and good people.
