The food here is definitely above average by a long shot. The serving staff are top notch friendly and the bar staff are too. The only problem here would be seating - even with reservation we ended up at the corner seat of the bar. Despite this, even the corner seat was quite entertaining!
"Mama Mia" that was a good pizza. Wood fire, brick oven pizza. The dough is naturally leavened for 48 hours, to make a delicious Neapolitan style pizza, with an California twist. The dough is the 5 star here. It has an luring sour dough taste to it, that one can not stop eating. Then topped with unique toppings and baked in an 700-800 degree oven with oak smoke. Masterly watched by the pizza chef, for 2-3 minutes adjusting and turning the pizza just so. To obtain the slightest burnt, and caramelization of the toppings and dough. The results is one of the best pizza you'll find outside of Italy.
This is a great new location. Patrick the tender is friendly, smart witted, and handles a packed bar perfectly. Kudos to your place for that.
Love this Italian restaurant. Their pizzas are so authentic and yumm that we have become their regulars. We have been there three times in 2 months and introduced our friends to the place as well.
Few facts:
1. Great appetizers specially the Cauliflower with Ranch and Mushrooms with cheese
2. Great thin crispy pizza and they are okay to make changes based on your choice & dietary restrictions
3. Awesome wine and superb wait staff
4. Despite having such great food, price is decent and it is moderately expensive
5. Very nice location and very nice bar
6. Reservation is a must else be ready to wait for an hour or two
I love Bettina! These pizzas are incredible, the dough is such a perfect balance of chew and crunch. Every pizza they make is straight fire, I’ve had them all! Ingredient quality is absolutely exceptional across the board. Try the meatballs and the chicken liver; their bread (with the liver) is cooked in the pizza oven each morning. Honestly insane! Awesome wine list and spritz cocktail program too. Just love the vibe and the staff. My new favorite spot in Montecito!
